In the folklore of Northern England, The Brag was a shapeshifting spirit known to prowl country lanes at night, most often appearing as a horse to lure travelers onto its back — only to throw them into a ditch, or worse, before vanishing with an unsettling laugh. A trickster rather than a killer, but one that left more than a few travelers badly shaken and thoroughly soaked.

This design captures the moment of the shift: a horse's form unraveling into something gaunt, rooted, and unmistakably wrong, caught mid-transformation on a moonlit country road. Sinewy detail and eerie moonlight lend the piece a genuinely unsettling edge.
